At 6,2km Lynx had fallen back 20 seconds behind Delta and OK Linne. A little bit more than 2 minutes behind followed Marko Närvä from Vehkalahden Veikot. Only 600m away laid the following TV control where suddenly Delta was surprisingly even 1,5 minutes behind OK Linne because of a mistake by Petri Noponen. On the other hand, Lynx had catched up OK Linne.

The first team to reach the changeover was Lynx's Ville Koponen 15 seconds before OK Linne. The third team at the changeover was Vehkalahden Veikot. Lynx's next runner is Aapo Leskinen and OK Linne's fifth runner is Mats Troeng. After the first three teams followed Delta, Södertälje and Turun Metsänkävijät, the latter having succeeded in joining the leading teams.

The length of the fourth leg was 7,8-7,9km and the estimated time was 45 minutes. The leading teams spent about 50 minutes to finish the leg.
